Discover what great interprofessional simulation looks like in practice. This panel, led by international IPE expert Professor Margo Brewer, features three compelling, real world examples designed to inspire health professional educators.

ABOUT OUR PRESENTERS:

Professor Margo Brewer: Margo is a speech pathologist with a national and international reputation in interprofessional education (IPE), which includes 11 teaching awards, 2 teaching fellowships, over $2million in teaching grants, 45 peer review journal papers and book chapters, and several IPE guides. She is currently the Deputy Head of School, School of Allied Health at Curtin University.

Dr Kim Allison, a physiotherapist by background, is Acting Director of the Collaborative Practice Centre at the University of Melbourne. She works with a team of health professions educators designing and implementing a collaborative practice curriculum across 14 health and social care programs.

Professor Debra Kiegaldie is the Interprofessional Education and Simulation Lead for the Faculty of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences at Monash University. She leads the implementation of Monash’s Collaborative Care Curriculum, advancing interprofessional education to prepare graduates for collaborative, patient centred practice. Her work is recognised for driving curriculum innovation and strengthening teamwork across the health professions.

Clare Wallis is a Professional Teaching Fellow and Clinical Educator for Nutrition and Dietetics at The University of Auckland. Clare has been involved in interprofessional education for over 8 years.

Dr Philippa Friary is the Director of Clinical Education, Speech Science, at The University of Auckland. Philippa has been engaged in interprofessional curriculum development, education and research for over 15 years.
