Who should apply for Fellowship or Associate Fellowship?

The Fellowship Scheme recognises members of ANZAHPE who have demonstrated a consistent commitment to health professional education through their scholarly contributions to the field. The scheme is open to health professional educators who have been recognised as effective teachers, researchers, developers and leaders in education in their own institutions and who have demonstrated a commitment to facilitating the learning of students and junior colleagues in academic, clinical or community settings.

Current members of ANZAHPE, who are appropriately qualified, are warmly invited to apply for recognition as Fellows or Associate Fellows of the Association and the right to use the post-nominals FANZAHPE or AFANZAHPE, as appropriate.

The application process:

Once you have completed your application, please forward it in electronic form, together with the specified supporting documents including evidence of your highest qualification, to the ANZAHPE Administration Officer. (The final page of the application template should be manually signed and witnessed, then scanned and sent either as a pdf file of the whole template or as a separate pdf.)

The ANZAHPE office will then contact you to arrange payment of the application fee (currently A$200 for Associate Fellowship applications and A$300 for Fellowship application). Once payment has been received, your application will be forwarded to your referees, and then the Fellowship Committee for consideration. It is anticipated that Associate Fellowship applications will be determined within one month of receipt of payment and Fellowship applications within three months of receipt of payment (pending referee response timeframes).

If your application is successful, you will receive a certificate confirming your status (in pdf form) and will be entitled to use the post-nominals AFANZAHPE or FANZAHPE, as appropriate. Your name and status will be recorded in the appropriate list on this website.
